Our Leadership
Meet The Team That Helps Our Customers Excel
Under the leadership of Kristen Mallonee and Derek Loux, Excel Communications has over 120 employees, and continues to grow. We serve large Fortune 500 clients in the financial, healthcare, government, education, manufacturing, and commercial industries, as well as smaller, local companies.
We are proud to be recognized as a women-owned business, which allows Excel to build strong relationships with customers who recognize the importance of client diversity.
Kristen’s leadership exemplifies the power and potential of women-led businesses. Under her leadership, we are certified as a Women’s Business Enterprise (WBE), by the Women’s Business Enterprise National Council (WBENC).
The WBE Certification allows Excel to invest in relationships with customers who recognize the importance of supplier diversity. By including women-owned businesses like Excel, corporations and government agencies demonstrate support for supplier diversity programs.
We honor Kristen’s unwavering dedication to success and her role in empowering women in business.

Derek has over 25 years of experience in the information technology and security industry, starting and managing three highly successful businesses that are all still active.
Derek’s acumen in technology and security initiated the start-up of his first company, Excel Communications Worldwide in 2001. He has a passion for building technologically advanced systems and more secure, safe spaces for his clients. Derek leads a non-profit organization which has been instrumental in anonymously funding and defraying expenses for single-parent families in the community, specifically in organized sports for children and youth.
Derek serves on the board of Worthwhile Wear, an organization fighting to end human trafficking. He also serves on the board of RBMI, which acts as a dedicated hub for over 20+ ministries and programs. In addition to that, Derek has served on the board of Torch Sports Ministry for several years. Derek credits his faith and his personal background to his strong dedication to service-driven missions and businesses.

In our family-like culture, everyone’s contribution is recognized and valued. We believe in the power of collaboration and the strength of diversity, which is reflected in the variety of skills across our team. Our environment is one of respect, continuous learning, and shared achievements.
Our growing team is dedicated to doing their best in every aspect, leading to our company’s success, and making a positive impact.
